One of the biggest challenges to our businesses is to keep tabs on what's happening and how it will affect our business. This committee does just that. Through conference calls, these people, representing multiple membership categories, discuss the issues and events that may - or may not - affect us. If you're ready to keep tabs on what's happening, this may be a good fit for you!

A library of white papers is in development as of the spring of 2017. When complete, it will offer WBFI Members access to papers prepared by a scientist that give you information on the diseases that affect wild bird populations. Papers in development include:Avian Influenza
- Avian Pox
- Salmonella
- Listeria
- Mycoplasmosis
You will use these papers for information to structure a response when one of these wild bird diseases breaks out in your area or in an area in which you have customers. These will be provided at no charge to WBFI members.

Through the foresight of our Board members in 2005, WBFI developed and adopted quality standards for wild bird feeders. This sub-committee monitors these standards and makes recommendations for updates or new definitions as needed. Conference calls are the norm for this group. If you monitor the quality aspects of feeder products, you're a good fit for this sub-committee.

This group has been formed to study and evaluate the Nyjer® market. One of the main goals will be to report on the quality of the Nyjer® based on the location it was produced. Then this group will develop an action plan and a potential response as a recommendation to the WBFI Board.Â
